Another ISIS attack in Paris..this time in the suburbs, a police officer and his wife were murdered near the officer's home after the family was taken hostage. The assailant was killed https://www.rt.com/news/346550-paris-police-stabbing-hostages/
Pardon me. The police officer and spouse were both female.
So will this essentially be another economic recession? And will it be like the 08' one where the middle class and working class pay for the repercussion, while the banks get away again?
I fear it will be much worse, more like the depression in the 20s.
Yeah, as common sense says, all they did after 2008 was prop things up and carry on as they always did, so an even bigger crash later on would become inevitable. Now we've arrived at 'Later On'.I sincerely hope none of you, or us, is too severely impacted by this. It's gonna be ugly.
It's like the depression here in Uk already the poor have't had it so bad. It geting worse for them . This goverment would bring the work house back if they could.
Beg to disagree, common sense. Nothing happens the same way twice. Plus, the Great Depression was preceded by a mania of stock buying by ordinary people who had no clue about stock markets and a stock market with no regulation. Haven't had that mania now, and the actual structure of the stock market is different, with brakes to slow the train, so to speak. Therefore, it will not be a generation crusher like the Great Depression.
This has been brewing for some time
CD specifically noted it would be stock markets of the World, not just the US. I noted to common sense that I didn't think the US would have another Great Depression, but as CD said, this will affect world markets. Some vulnerable countries may go into a Great Depression, and the US will not be able to bail them out. With the CD comment about it being even worse if held off until November, the new administration (of Trump or Clinton) wont be up and running and able to organize congressional support to help other countries. Some South American countries are already having deep economic problems, and stock market destabilization could pull them under.
I have always believed that the Stock Market is and has been falsely propped up for years. I guess we should be grateful (if you want to call it that) but eventually it's going to implode as you said. Jobs reports are misleading too. I cannot imagine what will happen in November (no matter who gets elected). Do you have any advice for us aside from "selling"? Thanks for the head up!
I believe it. I also see that the gas prices are creeping up again. Any insight on that CD or is it all.tied together with what's happening in the stock market?
I've been reading business reports and how some wealthy businessmen are selling off their stocks and buying gold. That's one hint right there about the future. Although it may not be 1920, I do feel it will be much worse in some respects than the great depression. There are so many similarities of great economic hardships and political instability. The USA has massive debt and deficit. They can't continue to fund wars and do crap business deals with China. No one will ever lend the USA money because they know they could never pay it back. I do believe that history repeats itself, again and again. Although it's a completely different world today, people don't believe in God anymore and governments are so corrupt. There are more people inhabiting the earth, and there are so many terrorist organizations we've lost count. People are hurting and have lost their jobs, their homes, their livelihoods and their dreams of success. Unemployment is sky high and going to get much worse. I think people need to start NOW to prepare for survival. I am not an expert on the economy nor am I CD. These are just my feelings on this matter.Tonight I watched a documentary on OJ Simpson and the Los Angeles events that were happening in the early 1990s, around the same time he was quite famous and just prior to him killing his ex-wife. Black people were treated like animals and it was appalling to watch a man named Rodney King get beat over and over by four men (LA cops). There was a trial and all four men walked away. It makes me sick and no wonder black people rioted and revolted after the trial against that verdict. The system is corrupt, and nothing much has changed in 25 years.
Calm down, common sense. You make your own life miserable letting your thoughts run into the ground like that.
Point well taken, thanks. Time for a vacation!
When you lie to people they believe the madness, Britain like the rest of Europe is heavily in debt and have little natural resources to fall on. This a mess for people who are migrants that have settled in the UK and in the EU. This is the start of the change and now the Arab countries are rich enough to buy out countries because China can't and neither can America.
So you had to say it three times? If you can't add a comment correctly, what makes you think you've got this figured out correctly? LOL!
