CD with all the "confederate flag" banning going on why is everyone taking such a measure to ban a part of southern history. They are screaming that it's about rasicm and the kkk but if you do a simple Google search you can see the stupid and horrible group of jerks labeled the kkk used the american flag in most marches. I don't condone racism at all its disgusting but why ban something that was about the north and the South and take away a peice of southern history? Even free slaves still fought under the Confederate flag. I just don't get it.

Symbols change meaning over time. At this time, the Confederate flag has a negative connotation.

Swastikas were used in Asia and by Native Americans in the west for hundreds if not thousands of years. It is a cross. But if you show a Jew a swastika do you think they think it is a cross? No. It is a symbol of hate now.

Personally, M.C. is reaping what she has sown. Sorry to say it, but she peaked in the 90's musically and hasn't really had great music since Tommy Motola. I know some of you are her fans, but she is a snob and very self-centered. I think she is very hard on the men in her life.

And just because southern support the Confederate flag does not mean the don't wave the american flag proudly. Our ancestors fought under the Confederate flag just like we have Americans fighting today under the stars and stripes. They both hold meaning to us as americans.

Looks like my viewpoint won out, so...too bad for you. Everyone else, but you and the rest of the ignorant and/or racist whites agree that the flag should be put to rest so deal with it. This is not my opinion, it is fact based on history and it is not my or anyone else's fault that you are too ignorant to study up on the subject, but still continue to rant about things you know nothing about. Learn history and remember...it is better to remain silent and have everyone THINK you are ignorant, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. I believe Ben Franklin is the author of that wisdom and you are the perfect example of it. Now everyone knows you are ignorant. Congrats, what will you do for an encore? Oh, I know....something ignorant...ha ha ha.
