I have no shares to my name and even if I had the money. I certainly would not invest it on the stock market. For me it is too complex to understand and I feel it is rigged.

Hi Tony! You might want to see what percentage of your portfolio makes up your company stock. Ever heard of Enron? The employees lost all their money because the company invested 100 percent of the money into Enron.

The U.S. is not cheap. Unless you are staying with friends or a hostel you can easily blow through your money as a visitor. I think you said you were coming to North Carolina. If you do, go to The Angus Barn in Raleigh. It is not cheap but you will love it! See if you can eat some eastern North Carolina style barbecue pork.

By the way, us girls love British accents!

Hi TW. I'm staying in Hillsborough and have already paid for the hotel and flights and I will definitely have the bbq pork!! I will be arriving there in early October. I'm visiting New York and Niagara Falls then rounding off my trip in North Carolina. The shares were given to us free because the postal service I work for was privatised by the government. After three years we can sell our allocation and that's what I want to do considering the value has dropped. I'm glad you girls love our accent..I'm a Londoner and I hope it goes down well over there!!

I am too far for you to visit. I live in the eastern part of the state, which is very rural.

Hillsboro is a wealthy white community and is pricey. I don't think it is too far from Chapel Hill. Disgraced politician John Edwards allegedly lives there. Try to get to Raleigh and Durham if you can to see the real people. There is a shuttle bus in Hillsboro that will take you but it runs at certain times of the day.
