You'd like, think a person who like, graduated from a hoity-toity private university with a degree in like, you know, international relations and economics would you know, articulate his/her thoughts better.
And such as, this person claims to have Sephardic Jewish ancestry you know, but S/he says Jews should like, leave Palestine.
And such as for sure this person with a degree in international relations and economics from a like, a private university admits S/he had no friggin idea, like what is going on with Israel and Palestine.

Socialism and capitalism are diametrically opposed. With socialism, private citizens do not own the means of production, distribution, or exchange. In other words, if you owned land, you cannot sell anything that grows on it, if you own your home you cannot rent a room out, if you want to open up a store to make money you cannot do so because society owns the building and the items for sale. The community makes money, not you.
Human labor is part of the means of production. Guess what. The state owns you under Socialism/Communism. You will be a slave.
Money is involved in the means of exchange. With socialism, EVERYONE is on welfare. The state pays everyone the same, assigns housing, and work assignments. The state tells you if you will go on to University and what you will study. The state decides if you can travel out of the country. Want to purchase a home, a car, or luxury items? The state approves those purchases.
Want to have children? Cuban women report they gave birth to live children but the nurses reported the child was stillborn or died. Some women have said they were sterilized against their will. They can no longer have children.
I remember seeing a report about 1992 Olympic gold medalist Alexei Urmanov having to purchase a car battery on the black market (The Soviet Union had recently collapsed). Katarina Witt is on record saying East German government provided her with furs, cars, vacations, and other benefits in exchange for her continuing to skate for the communist East Germany and to not say anything bad in public about life in that country.
I never said socialism means people run out of money. I asked a question. Under socialism, EVERYONE is on welfare. Let me ask you this. If USA became Socialist and everyone ere paid the same wage, would you take an easier job like fast food service instead of going to medical school to become a doctor?
You currently think socialism is good, do you would not leave USA if you became a doctor earning the same wage as a janitor. Even if yo wanted to leave, you couldn't under Socialism because that would not be good for society.
Vladimir Lenin stated "The goal of socialism is Communism."
I encourage you to talk with people who actually lived in or currently live in socialist societies - The Former Soviet Union, people who lived in East Germany when it existed, North Korea, China, and Cuba.
Some of the people who come to this blog lived through communism/socialism. I hope they share their thoughts here.
I have a friend from Germany. Please believe me when I tell you socialism and communism are not the way to go.

She has made more bizarre comments. She claims workplace automation is good because that means people will have more time to create art, perform research, etc.
Sounds good right? She also said capitalism is bad because people who don't have jobs are left to die.
So what's the problem?
How will people fund their creative, scientific, and intellectual pursuits without income? Oh. That's right. In Socialist and Capitalist societies, everyone is on welfare.

I understand your fear of socialism its grounded in history and experience. But I also believe in the social programs that have sprouted and endured in the US alongside a capitalist society. If these measure were never taken Im not sure the US wouldve been as great as it was.

I was alive during Regeanomics. President Regean began the war on drugs that was desiged to incarcerate black males. He ordered the CIA to sell crack cocaine in black neighborhoods. 1. Rumour has it that AOC had no choice but to sleep with some of her college professors in order to 'earn' passing grades while doing her degree.
2. Instead of shooting her mouth off, she needs to research the efficacy of Socialism as a system of governance, for a change.
