The person she is married to is of dubious character... This person has been "Away" for quite a while... (If you know what I mean) This person is threatening to return.. She will... 1) Greta Thunberg is being used as a pawn. Greta is a child so Greta has my sympathy. For now.
2) The lawsuit has no bearing on the criminal case except that it could make the case more difficult to prosecute.
3) The women have to split less than half the money. 48 percent of the settlement will pay Weinstein’s legal bills and those of his brother & their bankrupt production company. More money will go towards the women’s legal costs. The women will be fools if they sign the deal.
4) The women may feel pressure to sign because of mounting legal fees. The deal is bad. Not only that, they can get more money if Weinstein is convicted in a court of law.
5) Will Weinstein survive back surgery?
I pray that God’s justice is rendered in this matter and in all matters.
The burden of proof is “by the preponderance of the evidence” in civil court.
Doesn’t matter if Weinstein is broke. The women can sue him, his wife (martial property), his production company if it still exists, and the insurance company that covered Weinstein’s production company.
If they can prove Weinstein’s wife helped him hide assets she has huge problems.
