Even though in her 20's she wasn't part of the Royal family.
And nor was she part of the succession.
It's a lifetime of devotion to a dream for her.
An obsession.
And she's been hostage to this dream since the day she managed to get Charles into bed with her.

How do we kmow she dreamed of it before that?
Well one fact I always found very telling about Camilla.
One of her former bf's from the 1960's remembers Camilla having a total obsession with talking about her great grandmother Alice Keppel. Who enticed the heir to the throne, King Edward VII, into a long term relation.
Around the turn of the century.
As I've mentioned before, Alice Keppel was working as an aristocratic prostitute at the time. She slept with them all at her place in London. When her aristocratic husband, Earl Albemarle was out.
He didn't care. And like the money they earned from it.
And Alice Keppel's customers were all fellow aristocratic men.
Further, Alice Keppel's husband was fully aware of it.
And King Edward VII became one of her customers. Long before he became King.
Camilla is very impressed by her grandmother Alice Keppel. So it just goes to show what kind of values Camilla had very early.
When she later, did everything she could to destroy Princess Diana. And Diana's marriage.
Alice Keppel did the same to King Edward VII's beautiful long suffering wife, Alexandra of Denmark.
But the moment Edward VII was dead. Alexandra ordered Alice Keppel out of the Palace.
Alice Keppel didn't ordinarily live with the King, Edward VII.
But Alexandra had to put up with years and years of being made a public fool of by Alice Keppel.
And Alice Keppel was in the Palace and at the bedside. When Edward VII lay dying slowly.
This was clearly too much for Alexandra.
Who had the added problem of being quite deaf. After an illness during pregnancy.
If Camilla finally gets flung out of the Royal family. By either the Queen. Or even better.... Charles himself. It will be the greastest Karma for all the years of misery and suffering she caused Diana, Diana's family, the Spencers. The Queen and Prince Phillip. And Diana's sons.
I'd heard that Camilla had developed a drinking problem with Gin. And Charles was going the same way.
You only have to look at Prince Charles and his flushed red face.
He has a drinking problem too. If not.
Somethings wrong with his health.
What a fool Camilla is.
To become hooked on booze when she was as closer to her goal of becoming Queen than she ever was.
She's a nasty bitch.
She deserves everything she gets.
In the end.
She will be seething the day Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge becomes Queen.
When William becomes King.
Agree ...the Spencers, and Diana's friends will finally be able to reveal the nightmare scenes Diana went through because of Camilla.
But they probably won't.
They are aristocrats.
They don't as a rule, speak to newspapers.
But I agree. It will be nice to see Camilla finally unprotected.

Has Prince Charles got a new woman?
Some have also claimed Charles behaviour towards the Duchess of Sussex at times was more than inappropriate. There are also rumours circulating around stating he had a full-blown affair with Alexandra Shân "Tiggy" Legge-Bourke who was a 'companion' to his sons, with some suggesting their union resulted in a miscarried pregnancy. If this rumour is indeed true this will explain Diana's fury about her being around her sons and mentioning her miscarriage to "Tiggy" at a Royal party they bot attended.
Basically, the man is a serial adulterer, who, more than likely has had dozens of affairs with women who should have known better.
Prince Charles should not be king. I don’t think he’s the rightful heir as he does not have Spencer blood. Prince William is the rightful heir to the throne in my eyes.
Also, years ago American tabloids claimed Queen Elizabeth will name Prince William as successor because she allegedly found out Prince Charles ordered the hit that resulted in Princess Diana’s death.
Yes. Diana disliked Tiggy Legge-Bourke intensely.
And Diana didn't dislike people for no good reason.
I think Tiggy did have an affair with Prince Charles all those years ago.
Diana certainly didn't trust her.
Especially around her kids it seems too.
