What a tragedy to go out like this.
I know from personal experience how hard it is once you give notice to leave your job (2 weeks or 1 month's notice) and once you do that, your mind is no longer with the job. It's hard to go to work and keep the focus once you have "left" the job.
But to be forced to vacate a position such as Ellen's that has got to be tough.
More like devastating.
The millions she made from the show, well, that is gonna be hard to give up that big fat paycheque.
I watched her show a few times this past season and it was never the same after the oh so public staff bad treatment blowup. Ellen seems to have lost that 'joy," that reverence for life that she used to bring to the show (and everything else that she did).
Stephen Boss (aka tWitch), he now is the JOY on the show.
It seems Ellen started to change when the California fires destroyed her first home. She never danced again on the show. She no longer felt that "joy."
She has lost her joy within.
But alcohol will do that.
Alcohol is the worst fucking drug on the planet.
It destroys lives especially when people abuse it.
She's lost her show, and sadly, there's more to come.

If I remember correctly the book of Joel talks about this, saying old men will dream dreams & the young ones will prophecy.

This would make sense because Scripture says God draws us to Himself.
