The Hays Code, formally introduced in 1934, marked a watershed moment for the film industry, thrusting it into an era of enforced moral scrutiny. Its institution was a direct response to the bold themes of Pre-Code Hollywood, aiming to sanitize cinema by dictating the portrayal of sensitive subjects like crime, sex, and violence.
I observed how this set of guidelines significantly altered the creative landscape, compelling filmmakers to navigate a maze of prohibitions and mandates. It placed constraints on storytelling, challenging directors and screenwriters to convey depth while adhering to stringent rules, fundamentally changing the way stories were told on screen.

Book burning came first. Witch-hunts, Hollywood blacklisted filmmakers/screenwriters during the McCarthy communist hunt…Historically, oppression will lead from fear to social unrest and uprising. If this Hays code will be re-introduced, this will lead to endless legal fights (freedom of speech/artistic expression) before it can actually be enforced. Depends also on certain studios who lean towards fawning, caving in to the pressures from this administration. We shall see. All is not lost.

Lovenest.......

So here's a photo of  Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart's  "Lovenest" How cute..... It also happens to be where Roberts dogs where staying while he was down under. So is he staying there due to her, or the dogs. Ermm. My bets on the dogs. Before long we'll see the moving vans. As he gets to the point of no return. Mind you the PR team must be loving all this publicity. Oh well. As they say money goes to money......  Bear & Bernie
