Really Meghan is about money, money, money and I don't quite think that the royal family and the Queen being conservative and frugal with money, meaning they don't like members to over-spend or flash their wealth, suited Meghan.
Hmmm with the taxpayers spending millions to renovate Frogmore, with them no longer being senior royals, I wonder if they will be able to keep it. Interesting Meghan/Harry times.

Support for having a monarchy at all in the UK is dropping.
Because people are questioning... why have a family, who require armies of servants? A family that uses so much revenue of the public's. And occupies huge castle's, mansions and palaces.

But I would argue, the British Royal family attract a huge amount of tourism. And that means revenue for the UK. For everybody.
That the UK will lose, if the monarchy ends.
Also, the Royal family keep the customs, history and traditions alive.

And only she decides what goods or services get Royal approval for that.
Mixing with celebrities all the time.
Not doing many Royal engagments

Far too mamy reasons to list why these two have been booted out of the Monarchy.

He will have none of the assets and income as a Private citizen. As opposed to when he was a Royal.
And this may protect the inheritance he got from his mother, Diana too. Not sure.
If Prince Harry are Meghan are non Royals by the time they divorce.... then it's more than likely Meghan will NOT be able to get her hands on Royal property, Royal Jewellery etc. Through her divorce.

I can’t work out if this has been done with the Queen’s knowledge and paving the way to their eventual split. They have only been married for eighteen months and UK dictates you need to be separated for two years. Meghan yesterday stepped out without her rings.

1) Are UK divorce laws about being separated for 2 years different if one spouse is not a UK citizen?

The other thing I wanted to mention that in the UK, the standard response for an anti Meghan comment is it’s racist. That’s ridiculous. I am an ethnic minority - I hoped Harry would be happy after the tragedy he suffered. But I had my reservations about Meghan. We have Brexit uncertainty, our high street shops are constantly closing down. There was a terrorist attack before Christmas. My point being, we expect the Royal Family to behave in a certain way, not flaunt their opulent lifestyle, whinging about their luxurious lifestyle. They don’t have the worries that we do - an already stressed out NHS, ridiculous house prices, job uncertainty. People wanted to be happy for them but they have crossed the line.
There is a small part of me that wonders if this is to cover a potential divorce as they do things or try to do things quietly. Tom Bradby who is a friend of Harry and interviewed them for the South Africa documentary says that the Queen had talked about a slimmed down monarchy and they were not part of it. But then Charles wanted a slimmed down monarchy which would have been himself and Camilla, William and his family and Harry and his family. In short there is so much here say, I don’t really know. X
