The Dilly Dally song, or Don't Dilly Dally On The Way. Or as it's often known, My Old Man....
..... is a song that British working class people used to sing in pubs drunk...or parties everywhere during WW2.
Older British peoole all know the words.
But the song came out way before WW2. It was very popular. In Music Halls too.
It's a funny song and I love it.....it's about continually not being able to pay rent. And packing a van with your stuff with your husband in the middle of the night.
And moving.
They used to call moving at night, the moonlight flit.
