But in his time as Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has had to defend a big programme of austerity. And also the now famous, Brexit delays.
It was a tough gig.
But he chose it.
And then there's the erosion of Conservative support since he came to power.
Alot of the Conservatives have gone off him.
Some say because of his handling of the Pandemic.
It's possible too, that a centre left has become more appealing generally to people than Conservatisim. Because people have changed. After all the suffering they are going through because of Covid 19.
It would only take a Conservative family to lose a string of Investment properties. And a big loss of income. To make them re-think Boris' new Britain.
And are Conservatives the same mob they used to be?
Not really. Some are Pro Brexit. Some are Remainers. A big divide.
Have they ever been this divided?
As Brexit reaches it's conclusion. There will be those Conservatives who will be forever bitter it ever happened. Believing it was an political move to end the UK's participation in Globalisation.
Well we know it isn't.
But people see things the way they want to see things. And Conservative Remainers will blame him for it.
And there's millions of UK people currently surviving on Universal Credit alone.
A swing towards Labour ideals may be the preference for these voters. Who see the UK economy in the ditch. And need social support services. To get through the week.
Unfortunately Boris Johnson's aim to bring back British exceptionalism and Nationalism is ill timed.
Because that mentality seems to have been hijacked by more pressing issues for everyone in the UK. Paying rent. A roof over their head, enough food. And avoiding getting a deadly virus.
Is what is in the forefront of people's minds right now.
Well said. Agree.
