I remember too. The border almost bankrupt the Republic back then. But most of NI's problems are self inflicted. The economy is agriculture and tourism and the paramilitaries on both sides are now organised criminal operations. Two big mistakes, forced into Brexit and the DUP holding Downing Street to ransom over the protocol. And O'Neill wants a border poll! In the middle of a global economic meltdown! And Sinn Fein are militant extremists who don't know the difference between communism or fascism. They will quickly learn Thatcher's words of socialism working until you run out of other people's money! It's scary because it seems like we really have stepped back in time, to the eighties where I am. And the atmosphere is pretty unnerving around the place. Not looking forward to seeing the seventies again. My mother says we born after 1980 have no idea!

I remember too - travel to N Ireland was banned due to the violence. This terror gave birth to some of the most meaningful politically pointed music - the Cranberries - U2 — and some of the most fierce resistance fighters. I’m so, so heartsick to watch history repeating itself - globally.

I remember the gas lines! Omg! With the red, green, and yellow flags
in each gas station ⛽️ 🤦🏻‍♀️

Green, (yes, we have gas) yellow (almost gone) and red
No gas) it was awful! People had to get up at 4:00am in
Morning to get a good spot in line before going to work!

So here's a photo of  Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart's  "Lovenest" How cute..... It also happens to be where Roberts dogs where staying while he was down under.
