Rumors are she staged a sickout because she's not happy with her contract. Producers were not happy. Money was wasted and production shut down.
My advice is to suck it up, be professional and wait until next time when you will be in a position of power.
If Empire goes stupid and dumps you, there are multiple other projects where you can bring your talents.
You go, but do it smart!
Christian says in her private life so maybe her family & friends have seen a change in her. A hit show doesn't last forever.
