I was the one that asked for prayers for the NHS doctors surgery I work in to be saved from threat of closure (in the 1st Mohammed Ali thread). Just like to update that 2 MPs called a public meeting, well attended, it was reported back to me (I chose not be there) that the MPs will continue to look into supporting the surgery not to close + patients were v. angry at the current contract holders + made it known. I am doing supporting work in other ways such as prayers and hopefully engaging patients (who ask me what they can do) to express their objection in the way that politicians & NHS take note - power in the pen thru writing what they seek to express when they find out the closure is not NHS driven at all nor patients due to poor service, but as they already gather from the contractholders written outline business proposal - to have their cost efficiencies by moving the list to their other branches 2 miles away either direction.
We are modern + clean surgery promise!)that has been on this site for 50-60years & some patients go back 40/50 yrs with us too!
I heard that patients wheelchair users, disabled and abled bodied reacted v. aggressively when they were told by the Managing Director the other practice is "only a mile away" - possibly due to a tone of "what's the problem".
Please say a prayer for success to keep our doctor's surgery open and for her to have good doctors & staff to do great work with compassion, care and healing service. Thank you for a small moment of your time in prayer for miracles to happen to heal the situation.
