Is Putin also working with Julian Assange? Just wondering.
Many years later I would find out from post Communist Russia that this was their initial battle plan including the use of four strategic nuclear bombs, but also closest nuclear confrontation was not the Cuban missile crisis but during five days in November 1983 when the USSR prepared for nuclear war wrapped up in a paranoia that they US was about to invade...paranoia triggered by war games under the imaginary scenario (wait for it) of USSR deploying military assets to Syria, and de-stablising Europe.
Bear in mind two months beforehand KAL007 had been shot down.
The USSR's paranoia was driven by one man, Yuri Andropov. Leader of the USSR and former head of the KGB and now regarded as the most dangerous of the USSR's leaders.....his disciple and protege was a unknown KGB officer by the name of Vladimir Putin.
Then president Ronald Reagan wrote after the near miss...which is still largely shrouded in secrecy... "I feel the Soviets are so defense minded, so paranoid about being attacked that without being in any way soft on them we ought to tell them that no one here has any intention of doing anything like that. What the h--l have they got that anyone would want"
Let hope it's not the discipline finishing the masters work.
