The Americans systems as we know them are being pummeled. We need to rescue ourselves now. Is it possible? I don't know. Only if we are united and we most certainly are not.

If the banks are hiding "evils", the government would need to step in since the FDIC insures up to $100K. Losses in the stock market take a long time to recover though.
As for the stock market taking a long time to recover, it was only eight years ago that it was under eight thousand. Look at how much it has gained! America has a good foundation--land, water, minerals, oil, four season climate, brain power, technology, man and woman power.
Anyone who can't hang on for less than the few years it took to start rolling again, doesn't need to be in the stock market, period.
