OT, CD is you happen to read this in the next few hours...my cockatiel, Gabe, sustained an injury at the Vets, getting his wings clipped...thrash about too much in his cage...broke off some remaining feathers. Found him bleeding by the time I got him home. Had to race back to the Vet with him. They cauterized him and have him in an incubator to try an off set a shock reaction from the loss of blood +. I am devastated at the thought of losing him. It's been such a very hard three years and his bright chirping was one of the few things lifting my spirits. Do you see him surviving it. I'll forward some paypal monies to you. :-)

Update: Before I could return to the Vet, Gabe passed. I think he felt on some level that I was forced to let him go; he died right whey I made the decision. Maybe he was giving me a sign how much he loved me this morning because he was chirping and whistling more than ever. He was so joyful. I am beyond sad.

I am praying for my Gabe as he makes his transition and in time I am preparing for my next birdie to join Maurice, my new baby canary. Maurice (named for Maurice Ravel) loved chirping/singing with Gabe (who was named for Gabriel Faure). I want Maurice to enjoy birdie companionship once again.
