A local tax expert was interviewed on local news. He said taxpayers will get back LESS money. He said CHILDREN and their families will be hurt. People who rely on claiming dependents to get money back (perfectly legal) will be lucky to see anything.
I have a background in accounting. The working poor rely on those exemptions and tax credits. They used the money to catch up on bills. For many, the money was the only way they could financially afford to move to a better location.
