I am often asked by foreigners why America is obsessed with guns. Let me tell you.
The Founding Fathers stated the people needed a way to protect themselves from a tyrannical government. These men were well educated and knew history ALWAYS repeats itself.
Look at it this way. If an intruder broke into your home & brandished a firearm, would you use a firearm to defend yourself or would you get out your kitchen knife? Please tell me how a person with a knife, spear, sling shot, sword, baseball bat, etc can defeat a person with a rifle or a gun? You would need the element of surprise & pray you don't miss.
