Politics is not my forte and I had to go to the Explain Like I'm 5 (ELI5) to understand Brexit.
Here is what I understand :
1. Years ago, Christian said England/Britain should not join the EU.
2. Years later, there was talk of Britain leaving the EU. Christian said it would be a lose-lose situation, but Britain should leave at that time.
3. Britain did not leave, now we have the current Brexit crisis
4. Theresa May is in favor of leaving the EU.
5. Scotland could choose to remain a part of the EU. There is talk that Ireland will follow suit if this happens.
6. Theresa May's policies, including Windrush, are hurting England right now. The NHS has become a joke. The current Brexit proposal plays into her hands.
Here is what I do not understand:
1. Are people upset with Brexit in general?
2. Are people upset with Theresa May's current Brexit plan?
3. Would the British people be more inclined to leave the EU if there is a better plan as to how to strengthen their economy?
4. What am I missing?
5. What is something you wish the rest of the world knew about this?
6. When am I supposed to say "England," "Great Britain," or "The United Kingdom?"
