The owls represent Minerva, the goddess of wisdom. Here in America, owls are used in almost every commercial product for decoration. I saw this trend start a few years ago. It literally sickens me. My mom says never mock or imitate an owl & owls are bad luck, especially if you see them flying during the day. I want to point out the fact some species of owls are not nocturnal.
