I'm still reeling from seeing the video of the murder by Arizona Police.... of young dad Daniel Shaver.

On 18 January 2016.
Shot dead so many times.
By police in Arizona. In the hallway of La Quinta Inn & Hotel Suites in Mesa, Arizona.
He was a young white 26 year old dad. And he was begging for his life.

Shot several times ....By Police Officer, Philip Brailsford. While Daniel was on his knees.
Not doing anything except reaching down to pull his pants up.
He was unarmed. I've mentioned it before here.
Because it's so shocking.
And largely forgotton now.
Well not by me.

The cop was charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
And outrageously when it went to Trial.
The verdict was not guilty.

The U.S cops are killing many unarmed civilians.
It's a fact the world has woken up to.
And is judging the U.S Government over it.

Another murder of a black man by Police.

The murder of 32 year old, Philando Castile.
While he sat in the seat of his car on a traffic stop on July 6 2016. In Minnesota.

His girlfriend courageously live streamed the killing. While seated next to Philando.
Her 4 year old child is in the back seat.

If you find the full video of it. You will see Philando's girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds, totally co-operating with the traffic cop, while seated, She is calmly guiding the cop through the fact that Philando's license he is requesting. Is in Philando's pocket.
And that's why Philando is reaching into his pocket.

She is the bravest girlfriend you will ever see.
I've never seen anyone that brave in my life.

Despite her manangment of a such a frightening situation.
The cop, Jeronimo Yanez shoots Philando fatally.
I think twice.
And Diamond remains as calm as she can filming it.
And live streams it to Facebook.
It was taken taken down from Facebook.
Eventually when Facebook became aware of it.
But 1000's of people were able to see it.
I saw the whole video.
It's hard to find now.
Perhaps TW will be able to find the whole thing and post it.
I don't like to see things like that in my everyday life.
But if we don't see things so graphic. We'd have no clue what's really going on in America.

The cop Jeronimo Yanez was charged with 2nd Degree Murder.

When it went to trial. He got away with it.
Verdict, not guilty.

Yet again.

Next Sunday ? Oh my Lord.
Are cities going to be wiped out or burned down?

I hope they do something by Wednesday to the other officers involved... but if the main culprit only got 3rd degree then what the hell are they going to charge the other 3 with? failing to report a crime? smh

And it is possible for American cops to change.
To be stopped killing.

Australia put a stop to these killings by cops.
A long time ago.

We had a much more smaller scale problem here.
But we had a Royal Commission Into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody.
That went from 1987 to 1991.

The result of that is....We no longer have Australian Aboriginal deaths in Custody.
And haven't for a long time since.
The only deaths in Custody of aboriginals today. Have been when there is an existing health problen.

Australian cops could never get away with murdering Aboriginals in Australia.
Ever again.
The way U.S cops are murdering African Americans.

Not sayin Australian cops don't want to murder some Aboriginals.
They quite likely do.
Aboriginals represent high contact every year wuth the police here.

It's just that that cops here can no longer get away with murder.
Despite the fact that ALL cops here are armed.

There are outlying island communities of aboriginals off the coast off the state of Queenland too.
Even on those remote islands Australian cops can't get away with the murder of Aboriginals there.

If the American government really wanted to end the unlawful murder of Americans by cops. They could.

They just choose not to.

Its clearly state-sanctioned murder.

Why the looting and destruction? Police brutality has been going on for decades. Many people feel that peaceful protests aren’t accomplishing anything, and that the only way to get people to listen is to start damaging property. Look at Colin Kaepernick and other athletes when they peacefully protested by taking a knee during the National Anthem. No one wanted to discuss racism and social injustices. They just wanted to say that they were anti American and unpatriotic. While I don’t condone the destruction of property and some people involved in looting are taking advantage of a situation, I understand why they are doing it.
Chick'sOpinion said…
I agree with jele6. And you know Hollywood, to save it itself. Would be very wise to start making movies about what is going on in America. Right now. With issues of racism. And the struggles.
And the evil that’s going on.

In 1967, black actor, Sidney Poitier made a movie called, In The Heat Of The Night.
It was very successful.
Because it reflected the issues that were going on in the U.S at the time.
The Civil Rights movement was in full swing.
And it wasn’t just a successful film because it had a black actor as lead in the movie.
It succeeded because it gave audiences a sense of reality.
To relate to.
Chick'sOpinion said…
Best contemporary movie about African American poverty. Is called Ballast.
It won at the Sundance Festival in 2008.
It stars Tarra Riggs
And a young (then) actor called JimMyron Ross.
These are the sort of movies that I think will engage American audiences now.

People will always love ‘feel good’ movies.
Ballast isn’t really one of them.
But people who see movies like Ballast. Whether by accident or intentionally. Get an emotional window into a world they may never see.
And. The people who live this in reality...... In reality.
Feel that at least art, as in movies. And Hollywood.
Are reflecting their more personal experience.

If I see another American movie with a classic neat 2 storey white House and a nice garden. I will scream.
I’m so tired of directors trying to sell a version of America. To me.
That only exists for some.
Why does Hollywood think that audiences overseas need to believe in that version of the U.S?
Because none of it matches up with the reality we see in the media.
We ain’t that stupid.

No. I totally believe even Hollywood is gonna have to change dramatically after the Trump Administration is gone.
They could change now.
But as we know. Hollywood has always worked hand in glove with government in the U.S.

Ballast wasn’t a ‘Hollywood’ movie. In the real sense.
And that’s probably the only reason it got made.

It’s mainly the controlled opposition looting & committing the violence.

The terrorist, uh, I meant anti-fascist group ANTIFA is financially backed by George Soros. If you aren’t on the Red Pill, please know Soros is one of THEY.

In other words, the peace-loving protest groups & civil rights groups have been infiltrated.

This tactic is as old as time. THEY even said they would do it.

Jules, others & myself have posted multiple links to prove this over the years.

I hear you. We’ve been peaceful & patient for hundreds of years. No change. So what do we do now?

I also want to point out that it’s been proven most of the looters & vandals are infiltrators & have no intention of protesting police brutality.

George Floyd looks like he was a kind & loving man.

The wrong people are leaving the Earth.

Karma, are you taking names?

I truly believe God is giving people a second, third, fourth, etc. chance to repent. Otherwise they will pay dearly in this life.

18 former complaints against that cop Chauvin.

Fucking hell. What the hell is going on in America?

He has been outa control. And they have done nothing about it.

No. It's definately State-Sanctioned Police brutality.

If cops like him. Are allowed to continue like this. With no suspension. Or being fired.

Well. I think even more people are gonna come forward. Who have been assaulted by him.

I find it bizarre Chauvin's ex 'beauty Queen' wife filed for divorce the day after he was arrested.

Perhaps it was the last straw for her.

Or

She's tryin to save her own reputation.

I wonder if he's been bashing her too?

That will come out. If he has.

He has left quite the trail behind him. No way in hell he should have still been a police officer. So who were the people who did not see to this and how can they be held accountable as well?

Thank you for posting the link!

According to NBC Nightly News, Minnesota (or the city if Minneapolis) police officers used the same neck restraint on over 200 people. Many of them died.

The attorney general office did not disclose an email address.

But.

The Governor’s office has an online for. I told them the easiest way to end the riots today is to have all 4 police officers involved in George Floyd’s death charged with first degree murder.

An article written in the Washington Post yesterday, By Peniel E. Joseph:

What Would Martin Luther King Jr. Say About the Current Civil Unrest?

'We know how King would respond to our current mean season of political unrest, racial division and state-sanctioned violence. He understood much more than the fact that “riots were the language of the unheard.” He eloquently argued that the racial upheaval gripping the country during the 1960s was the direct result of white supremacy’s uncanny hold on every aspect of American life, from public schools, housing and health care to criminal justice, employment and domestic and foreign policy.'

'What would Martin Luther King Jr. do in our time? King would not denounce the looters, but focus on the economic, social, and political conditions that produced mass protests contoured by bursts of violence. He would find our age of racial division, white denial and spreading wealth inequality and violence an all too familiar artifact of his own time. His response, then, would be to speak on behalf of the indigent, to help feed the poor and to organize for the revolutionary policy changes that will finally make the kind of uprisings we are now experiencing a thing of the past.'

Agree agree.

Because the reality is. Most people have an awareness. That the murder of unarmed African American civilians by U.S cops ...is just modern day lynching.
Exactly what Martin Luther King fought vehemently against.
And to end it in America.

I read today, this Chauvin cop has actually shot alot of people.

And they are ALL either Latino or African Americans.
We can assume most U.S cops have shot plenty of people in their time.
But these cops would have shot white Americans too.
Not Chauvin.

Thank you for finding the murder of Philando Castile's video. By his brave gf.

It's disturbing I know people.
But it clarifies everything.

Although it looks like the cop who shot Philando panicked.
My view is... this is part of the problem.
If they panic...these cops shoot.
And kill.
With the rest assurance by their Police departments/courts. That they will never go to jail for it.
This has got to end in America.

Thank you, CAP Anonymous. Great article.

The “political unrest, racial division and state-sanctioned violence” is not the underlying pathology but rather a symptom of the disease.
Anonymous said…
Anonymous Friend 843, thank you. A "disease," so true, so true.

Chick's Opinion, makes you wonder how a guy like Chauvin gets to be a copy? They've got to start giving personality tests or something to screen out these types.

I heard Shaq O'Neil the other night on a talk show about the murder of Floyd and BLM protests. I love Shaq. He's like this wise, gentle giant. He spoke so eloquently with so much wisdom, he's so smart. His biological father was a police officer. Shaq would have made a great police chief. I wish he'd get involved in politics.
