It may cure my interest in history.
But I'd have to spend a day without my iphone. And work phone.
Not sure how that would go.
But at least work couldn't ring me.
I could answer I suppose.

You won't be disappointed. The UK is amazing. It's the architecture. The Palaces, the castles. They have so many. Especially mansions.
They had far more old mansions But most of them were demolished after 1945, after WW2 and in the 1970's especially.
The amount was far higher in Scotland.
They were demolished alot in the 1970's because of an extreme high inheritance tax. The sons who inherited their father's mansions. Had no choice. Due to Probate Duty.
To either pay it. Or demolish their family's mansions. And sell the land to developers. 1,578 of the mansions were demolished. The good news is, there's still plenty left.
