What can those in power do? The guns are already out there. Saturday night specials can be bought for $25 a pop on the streets. My 2nd ,3rd graders had access to automatic assault weapons. You can now make weapons with 3D Printers. My inner city children are given NO mental health services, and medical facilities have LONG waiting lists plus even if the kids are not exposed to violence in the home, they get it in the schools because violent children have the same rights as all others even if it means impeding others rights to saftey, learning and peaceful environment. So I look around and say what? CD do your gifts show you any answers?

Hi CD and Teacher Wendy, the problem is not that hard to solve, just look as what Australia did after a horrible mass shooting in Port Arthur in 1996 when a crazed animal shot and killed 35 innocent people. The community needs to accept and act in the interests of the community and get these guns off the streets. Australia has never had another mass shooting of similar nature since our laws changed. Yes, we still have the odd evil shooting but not mass shootings and it is not that common. Wishing everyone safety, health and happiness 💖

Private citizens have no reason to own automatic & semi-automatic weapons. They are not for self defense.

T.W. But in my inner city, the guns are in almost every home and my children sleep in bathtubs. Bullets dont go thru bathtubs. My students used to love my home, it was brick. I used to say..".YES, Unlike the farm ....I never have to paint it! " Their response was..."No bullets don't go through brick houses!" My perspective ever changed! Basements are also nice but usually rats down there they would say.

I absolutely deplore violence and I am totally for a gun free world and I more than understand everyone’s point of view, however, there is also a reason, a very valid reason, as to why the right to bear arms is written in your constitution, your forefathers knew the dangers and vulnerability of a people not being able to defend themselves. The right to bear arms was written into the constitution so future generations could protect themselves from tyrannical governments and to a lesser degree any invasions.

What I have learned since 9/11 is that nothing is what it seems. It is an indisputable fact that we have been systematically lied to. Read between the lines.

After watching a video made by Shane Dawson years ago, which has since been purged of youtube, exposing the use of ‘crisis actors’ who were playing multiple victims, one woman pretended to be a Sandy Hook parent as well as a Boston marathon victim, never again, will I take anything at face value.

There are those that genuinely believe mass shootings are committed by MK ultra victims, and that Sandy Hook was a psyop created by the FBI.

Research MK Ultra and the alphabet agencies ...

I think it is interesting that some Americans are calling to abolish all private firearm ownership while a Briton understands why the American Forefathers wanted us to have and keep that right.

That tells you about the decline of public school education here in America.
