Hope this is the right place to post a question for Saturday but the six main clubs in the U.K. have decided to form a super league along with some of the biggest Italian and Spanish sides. This is the main news story in England at the minute. For anyone who doesn’t follow football, all six in the U.K. are in the domestic league but if it goes ahead then they will play mid week games. Creating a league like this is against the rules so Football Association can take action, deduct points even relegate these teams. The players will not be able to represent England/ their country. The owners of these clubs along with JP Morgan are trying to press ahead. The managers and players are simply pawns at the moment. As a fan - I am fearful of what this means. Do you think this will go ahead? These owners simply buy clubs, have no interest in the fans and just want to make money. Players will not want to play for my club or any of these clubs if it means forgoing the Euros and World Cup. A very sad Apple Monkey xo
