Personal story.
I saw a news report about a person I used to know. Person was arrested & more information was needed. The case was juicy & I had first hand information the investigators needed. I lived in a different state than that person so I called my local FBI Office. I stated the reason for my call. My local branch office said they didn’t handle those types of crimes. I asked whom should I speak with. I was told “a different FBI branch office.” I asked which one & I asked for their phone number. The FBI agent said, “I don’t know. Look it up.”
I got disgusted & hung up. I called back & got the same answer. I called another FBI branch in my state. That office had a recorded message that directed me to call the office that was useless! I tried the national number, got a recorded message to call my local FBI branch office! I said to myself, “They aren’t interested in fighting crime. Maybe they are part of the shadow government. I tried. It’s in God’s hands now.”
The person who was arrested was released for lack of evidence. The FBI could have caught a big fish. This was years ago so the statute of limitations have run out. No need to contact me now.
That is astounding. How could they be so incompetent.

Well, now we know why cases go unsolved in the U.S.
And also, yes agree. They protect certain people.
But in this case, clearly they just couldn’t be bothered.
My story is not unique. It’s a crapshoot with local law enforcement but if you live in Los Angeles county (California) then forget it. It has the most corrupt law enforcement in the entire United States. Call one of the street gangs if you need justice.
And the institutionalised corruption winthin L.A law enforcement, sits perfectly with the local corruption of Hollywood.
